Shooo. My class went on a city trip yesterday. All movement that was not in a public transportation vehicle was a mobile snowball fight. By the end my feet were very, very wet and itchy. We traveled to the Du Sable museum of black Chicago history, where there were some interesting/cool artifacts/exhibits. I didn’t bring my camera (STUUUUPID) but there was an 8 track cassette of the Staple Singers in one of the exhibits, which would have been a great segue into…

OH MY GOD! You might have seen Pitchfork’s mention of *it* on Wednesday (which surprised me; I thought everything was still under wraps).. it is indeed an exciting bit of news. SO. EXCITING! And now I can finally talk about it!

I came to the scene a few days ago as a mini-photographer (if you will – emphasis on mini). It was my second time being at the sessions; every single time feels like I’m in the same room as a legend, probably because it is like being in the same room as a legend (minus the “like”). Seriously, this woman. I love her and her sister and they’ve adopted me as a grandchild (officially, of COURSE).
