he wants to be a water molecule

Nov 18, 2009

Do you have any pets?

Yes. We have a cat, Cutty, who is older than me in human years.

I FOUND the treasure (mepmep formspring)!

Veryproudaya!

Did you know if you wrote 3.14 and looked at it in a mirror, it spells PIE…but you have to make a closed (like dis: 4) and it only spells tasty pie, not pi :P

Redrum redrum.

I really want to have your babies. They’d come out with yamakas and I do believe they would have a craving for…ramen noodles.

Wait what okay ignoring that. I don’t like ramen noodles!

hey spencer where in the world would you like to go?

Hmm Mexico, New Zealand, and Europe, and maybe space.

Spencer- Come to Alabama, and let’s hang out.

Sweet brah.

I don’t know.

Me neither.

I know that you’re a Mac man, but have you ever tried Linux? It is pure win. Take care! — Natalie

I have! Geek out in 3, 2, 1… I used to have Ubuntu split-partitioned on my laptop but then I got a new one and never reinstalled it. Thanks for reminding me..

What’s your favorite use of music in a movie? I’m gonna go with “Stuck in the Middle with You” during Reservoir Dogs.

Ooh good one. The Goin’ To Acapulco scene in I’m Not There?

ever heard of the walkmen? they’re my fave band after wilco and um they rock.

Mhmm. Don’t have any in my Tunes of i though.

Do you like The Avett Brothers? I think you would, they are pretty great musicians.

dude, so crazy that you linked to my favorite kimya song. i actually was at the show in anacortes where kimya heard our friend genevieve play her original song about giants and was sitting across the table from kimya watching her being totally moved by it, and fighting back tears myself because it was so beautiful. (genevieve’s music & art is something pretty special). it’s amazing to see how that chain of inspiration can be transmitted out into the world… so of course, i think if you start a charity webstore thing, you should do it for my favorite cause–all-ages movement project, because of the moments like that all-ages shows can create, and because it is what i am devoting my life too for the forseeable future. i’ll send you some info and that book.

It’s such a beautiful song. Kimya totes rocks my cool hipster socks (jokes jokes conceited jokes)!

when i saw where the wild things are, i felt like i was watching your blog.

That’s amazing and flattering, because Where The Wild Things Are is a beautiful movie. Or I’m a plagiarist.

how do you feel about video games?

They can be fun and awesome in moderation. I don’t/haven’t played ours in foreverrr, though.

I recently noticed that Being There is dedicated to you. Are you able to appreciate how completely fantastic that is??

I don’t know if I was completely aware of that.. yes.

You know, it should really say word-barf here

On the form? Maybe I’ll change it.

what are some bands you can’t stop listening to right now? I need some new music in my rotation and am wondering if you have any suggestions. thanks!

The Go! Team, Charlie Parker, Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 (sort of).

Do you like Muse? They sound a lot like Bends-era Radiohead, but even better. Absolution is an incredible album.

I don’t think so. Aren’t they like prog-rock? Not that there’s like anything wrong with prog-rock.

Regardless of what other people say, I don’ think you look like a turtle.

Hahaa.

collected animals

powered cat.

we plants are happy plants

Good to know.

Title: Classmate in science today on wanting to be a water molecule when he grows up (learning about water cycles). Another kid asked if deep-see fish are retarded.

I am oddly very relieved that you don’t like the band Muse.

Tears For Fears “Head Over Heels” during Donnie Darko is a great scene.

Charlie Parker – awesome! Do you listen to any other jazz?

Yay, an Ubuntu user! I’ve been too chicken to shake my lurker status and ask you about Linux, but your blog’s abundance of geeky things finally moved me to do it. (And admittedly, the lovely geeky things filled my heart. I’m always happy to be in the company of other nerds.) But yes, you should definitely go give the new Ubuntu a spin. And I love the blog. Tis epic.

you should seek out the band “the breakfast” from CT. they may or may not be your style of music, but as a musician you’d certainly be able to appreciate their capabilities. Adrian, their drummer is a monsta!!

“…Cutty, who is older than me in human years.”

Ah, but I’m assuming you haven’t been neutered.

BTW, Ubuntu is the shizznit.

Mike – yeah, well.. I just got into my jazz stuff because frankly, it took me this long that not all of it is smooooth (musak). Now I embrace it.

That Onion article is really funny.
