My Greatest Ambition
6th Grade J.G.B. Story
Author Unknown

Morris was a kid who was a major realist. He rationalized every situation. His greatest ambition was to become a comic strip artist. He was probably the only kid in his school with that goal. Every time he told someone about his goal, they would say, “Oh, you’ll grow out of it,” and Morris strongly doubted them.

He had already finished one full comic, which included illustrations and text. He didn’t know what to do with it, so he decided to send it away to a magazine publisher.

The magazine staff loved his creation, and offered a job to work as a comic strip artist for Boy Magazine. Then, he realized, that there was almost no future in comic careers, and like everyone else, he became a dreamer.
