Funface
I am digging this a lot.
That drummer’s ‘stache is intense. INTENSE. Speaking of drummers with interesting hairz, remember Thor? My dad just showed me his book-thing the other day about his experiences with panic disorder slash manic depression. It’s pretty intense and… morbid at parts but, it’s really powerful. The whole thing is drawn by hand and scanned, I guess. My favorite drawing is of him as a skeleton in a tiny chair with the therapist. You gawta see it.
Anyway, the book – or at least this is how I interpreted it – is about really the same thing I think Ron Padgett was trying to get across in this poem, when he said And that’s the way I like it (which is also the inspiration for my sidebar about-thing). In other words,
Or in other other words, the book is cool and you should buy it (I would include an Amazon link or something but I can’t find it anywhere. It’s called A Sea of Despair and it’s on Domy Books, if you care to look). Tomorrow will be my first ever day of eighth grade, and I must say, I am pretty excited. Our school only goes up to Junior High so we’re at the “top of the chain” now, as one might put it. They also just changed EVERYTHANG about my class/our whole floor and it’s preeettyyy crazy (I got to see it today at the open house). In the morning I have to get up and take a cold shower because our house is broken and our hot water thing doesn’t work, sooo that might be a minus. But then I get to go show everyone my kitty binder so ‘sall good.
