Squeaky Beans

I had Hebrew school today, and it was pretty fun! Our teacher let us go to the beach, which was FINALLY unfrozen. There was still some snow on parts of the water, but it was nice to see the lake – as opposed to a grey-ish white abyss – again. I took some pictures with my phone, one of which is panoramic (isn’t that cool?).

Meanwhile, I’ve been listening to the man, the legend, the beast: Jimi Hendrix. In case you didn’t know, he’s pretty amazing. His album “Axis: Bold As Love” is probably my favorite. Or maybe it’s just the only one I own right now ;). But seriously, it’s awesome.

Those are taken with your phone? Excellent. That panorama shot is very cool. I can’t think of a synagogue on the planet with a better location. I love that you love Jimi Hendrix. You should have been one of those cool toddlers sitting on your parents shoulders during Woodstock, I can just see it (except for the fact that your mom was in 6th grade at the time and your dad was in diapers!).

I’m counting on you to musically mentor your two new first cousins. We really don’t want them to only listen to showtunes!

Axis: Bold As Love is THE album. I like that you like it (no I did not just copy off of your uncle). Anyway, it was a really interesting post.

cool panoramic shot!

You MUST check out First Rays of the New Rising Sun before you pick favorites! It’s a shame he didn’t get to completely finish it, but he was almost done, and it is such a big step forward for his sound and abilities. That one is my personal pic, but you cant really go wrong with any of the main Hendrix records.
